All you need is a working guitar and you’re good to go! If you’re on the fence about buying one for yourself or your child, we can have the student run a lesson with an in-house guitar to get a feel for some of the learning curbs and explore various purchasing options available. We will also explore the basic components of the instrument, simple foundational techniques (e.g., free-stroke in the right hand for classical fingerstyle guitar/alternate picking for steel-string guitarists) that are vital for a healthy start when getting acclimated. If you’re a more advanced player perhaps looking to expand into other genres/styles, come on over and we can discuss your goals and jam for awhile to see if I’m the right fit for the job. If you have a student/child that is interested but are having difficulty affording lessons/instrument please reach out via phone/ as we can explore some options in working together to get them what they need.
