All experience levels are welcome! This course is designed to engage directly the developing creative taste of the student/emerging musician. The first lesson will always start with the question. What music do you like to listen to? Listening to new music is pivotal in your continued growth as a musician.

With the first lesson/consultation we will explore all necessary supplies/consumables as well as optimal scale sizes for the instrument depending on the size/age of the student. I highly recommended in any genre of study that students not start on an oversized guitar as it can greatly hinder initial progress. Save that guitar in that attic for something to grow into! Below are just some general approximations cost wise be aware that * items are typically recurring cost purchased as needed.
1x acoustic/electric guitar ($250-$800)
guitar strings ($20)*
guitar strap ($20-$40)
cable if needed ($20-$40)
amplifier ($100-$300) - not immediately needed
Feel free to reach out and we can explore all the various options and references for where to purchase I can answer any questions you might have.

Depending on the size of the studio every year I plan to coordinate ensemble rehearsals and masterclasses for students interested. With the ensemble we will spend time rehearsing set music once a week to prep for a final performance/recital. With masterclasses you typically perform for an audience featuring a master guitarist present. There’s a great network of guitarists all globally known, who fly in annually offering these experiences.
